Know what a used car is worth, and what to check, before you hand over the money.

Licensed Australian price ranges, official recall records, verified common problems and a generation-by-generation inspection checklist. No dealer ads, no invented numbers.

  • Prices only from licensed valuation providers
  • Recalls from the Australian Government database
  • Every problem record carries a source and a reviewer

Check a price range

Start with the car you're looking at

Vehicle guides are being prepared. Each one is published only after technical review and with cited sources.

All makes

Price range, not a guess

We show the retail range a licensed provider returns for your exact variant, kilometres, condition and state, with the provider's own confidence score and the date it was last refreshed. If no licensed data exists yet, we say so instead of inventing a figure.

Recalls kept separate from rumours

Official recall notices are stored on their own, with the recall reference, hazard and required action, and a link to verify the VIN. Common problems reported by owners or specialists are labelled as reported, never as confirmed defects.

Built for the inspection

Each generation page turns into a checklist you can tick off on your phone at the seller's driveway: engine, transmission, suspension, electrics, body, test drive, and the questions worth asking.

How we work

Australian Motors is an independent research site. We don't sell cars, take listings or run dealer advertising. Our research methodology explains where every number comes from, our editorial policy covers who reviews what, and our corrections policy tells you how to flag a mistake.
